Protected Marks
- Clinic Commons™
The shared identity of a public infrastructure project for outpatient care — built in the open, governed by clinicians, and protected as a public good. Clinic Commons refers to the full ecosystem of modular, openly licensed resources stewarded by the Clinic Commons Foundation™. This includes clinical protocols, care workflows, governance models, and implementation tools designed to support safe, affordable, and independently operated care — without lock-in. Clinic Commons is a foundational layer that clinics can use, adapt, and shape together — reducing duplication, increasing transparency, and keeping critical infrastructure in the hands of the people who provide care.
- Clinic Commons Foundation™
The nonprofit steward responsible for the legal and community infrastructure behind Clinic Commons. It holds the project’s licenses, trademarks, and governance framework — ensuring the commons remains open, accountable, and clinician-led. The Foundation exists to protect the integrity of the project and keep its tools practical, transparent, and in service of those who provide care.
- Clinic Commons Core™
The foundational framework of the commons — includes baseline protocols, templates, and structures shared across implementations.
- Clinic Commons Atlas™
A modular, openly licensed knowledge base for starting and operating outpatient clinics. Includes standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, logs, workflows, and bundled documentation. Designed for real-world use across diverse outpatient models, including cash-based, rural, student-run, and independent practices.
- Atlas Clinic™
A prototype implementation of the Clinic Commons stack, used for training, research, and internal validation. Atlas Clinic demonstrates how the commons can be applied in practice — but is not a certification, endorsement, or standard for any specific site or organization.
