What This Means

Practice Use Exception

A special clause has been added to permit real-world clinical use without triggering the "NonCommercial" restriction:

Practice Use Exception:
“Use by licensed practitioners, students, nonprofit clinics, and unaffiliated medical groups for the delivery of healthcare — even when operating as for-profit legal entities — is explicitly allowed under this license, so long as no attempt is made to commercially redistribute or privatize the content.”

This clause protects clinics while ensuring that no third-party vendor or software company can exploit the work without permission.
